Bill Finn

Bill Finn has over forty years of business experience in various financial, technical, operating, and engineering management roles in the rail industry. Mr. Finn served as Vice Chairman of Railway Supply Institute Committee for Tank Cars from 2005-2016, President and CEO of ACF Industries from 2005-2007, Executive Vice President at ARI from 1994-2005, Vice President and President of ACF Industries & Corbitt Holding Company, respectively from 1988-1994. During his time at ACF Industries and ARI, Mr. Finn was responsible for the financial, operating and engineering performance of various business units including railcar manufacturing, parts manufacturing, railcar repair shops, and aluminum and steel castings plants. He developed and implemented business strategies with both long and short term goals for manufacturing and maintenance facility startups. He also held various positions relating to railcar maintenance and plant operations at Shippers Car Line as well as engineering and management positions at Carter Carburetor and Comprehensive Designers, Inc. Additionally, Bill has been a member of the Association of American Railroads Tank Car Committee since 1978 and has been a technical advisor to the Federal Railroad Administration and Department of Homeland Security on hazardous materials tank car issues.
