
Jason Koenig
Jason Koenig is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ITE Management, which he co-founded with David Smilow in 2014. He serves on the Investment Committee for each of the firm’s funds and the boards of its porfolio companies. Jason has nearly 25 yeas of experience in investing in real assets and managing companies and portfolios.
Since founding ITE, Jason has lead the firm’s growth from inception into a scaled industrial transportation and infrastructure platform. His investment approach is defined by asset-based strategies, disciplined portfolio construction, and long-term value creation across complex, capital-intensive businesses.
Prior to founding ITE, Jason invested across private equity and asset management, holding senior roles at Hale Capital Partners, Avenue Capital, and Versa Capital Partners. He began his career as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, where his work on structured transactions shaped his analytical approach to investing.
Education
Jason earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He has served on and advised both for-profit and not-for-profit boards and has lectured at the Wharton School.
